Client/Server Technical Analyst

Job Description
Location: Chesterfield, MO or Mt. Sterling, IL Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Systems Support Manager
Your Role: The Client/Server Technical Analyst implements, administers and maintains systems at Dot Foods.
These systems include servers, operating systems, and backup and recovery programs. You, also, troubleshoot
and resolve system problems and service requests. You provide high-level technical support for unresolved help
desk issues.
? Mentor Helpdesk personnel on issue analysis and resolution
? Research, evaluate, and recommend software and hardware products
? Perform root cause analysis and develop checklists for typical problems
? Install and maintain servers and server operating systems and documents server infrastructure changes
? Report on system performance, utilization, compliance while writing and maintaining detail systems
documentation
? Monitor server backup and recovers jobs
? Translate user and/or systems requirements into functional technical specifications
? Maintain and troubleshoot network
Role Specifics:
? Travel – Occasional overnight travel required; ability to independently travel as needed, without restriction,
by all modes of transportation, including car, plan or train for customers/vendor calls training or meetings
? Schedule – Ability to work flexible hours; may include evening hours and weekends to meet the
responsibilities of the job
We Need You To Have:
? Bachelor’s degree or comparable Dot experience
? Ability to lift boxes up to 50 pounds
? Proficient diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
? Proactive in anticipating and resolving problems
? Effective analytical thinking and problem solving ability
? A dedication to eliminating waste in all areas of the
position
